REIKI MASSAGE METAPHYSICAL HEALING SERVICE
Massage Therapy
The Basics: Massage sessions provide a therapeutic and relaxing way to ease your physical, mental, and emotional stressors. 60 and 90-minute massages are available.
Conditions Treated: Therapeutic massage can be beneficial for a wide range of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and postural problems. Massage can also aid in rehabilitation after surgery or injury (you may want to verify with a medical professional whether your condition is in an appropriate stage of healing for massage therapy to be beneficial.)
Our style: Incorporates aspects of traditional Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, injury treatment, sports massage, proprioceptive neuromuscular feedback, and myofascial release.
Techniques: Using a variety of techniques and strokes, including effleurage (long, sweeping strokes), petrissage (kneading and compression), friction (deep, circular movements), tapotement (percussive tapping), gentle stretching, and trigger point therapy. These techniques are applied with varying pressure and speed, depending on the client's needs and preferences.
Direct our Focus: Clients are encouraged to direct treatment to specific areas of discomfort so they may receive the most therapeutic value during your session. If you want a singular region of the body worked on throughout the entire session, the aim is to offer exactly what the client feels they need.
Reducing Friction: Clients choose either oil or lotion to be applied during massage.
Light: Rooms are softly lit. Clients are provided eye covering while positioned face up on the table to block out light and let the eyes completely relax.
Music: Soft relaxing music plays in the background during your massage. Clients are encouraged to suggest their own musical preferences so that we may offer the most relaxing session possible. If rock and roll, hip hop, or other music helps you relax, the aim is to facilitate your auditory tastes.
Client-Centered: A crucial aspect of therapeutic massage is its client-centered approach. Before the massage session, it is important to conduct an initial assessment and consult with the client to understand their specific needs, preferences, and any underlying medical conditions. This information guides the therapist in tailoring the massage to the individual.
Please arrive early: All clients are encouraged to arrive at their session early to allow maximum time for your massage.
Your First Visit: It is very important to arrive to your very first session at least 15 minutes early so that any paperwork can be handled and we can learn of any health history, injuries, or other special needs that may need to be addressed or avoided during your massage. This ensures that no time is wasted and you get the most value out of the time you have scheduled.

Massage Therapy for Depression + Seasonal Affective Disorder
For many who suffer from depression, the first solution is psychotherapy, where a person sees a trained mental health professional to talk (and at times medication is prescribed). Now, people are also beginning to better understand how a combination of treatment options can be beneficial, and massage therapy is showing great promise in alleviating depression and Seasonal Affective Disorder.
