Simple Meditation Script
Why not start your day with a simple meditation practice? Here is a simple meditation practice for beginners.
Get Comfortable & Breathe
Begin by finding a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down. Close your eyes gently and take a deep breath in through your nose, feeling your lungs expand fully. Hold it for a moment, then exhale slowly through your mouth, releasing any tension you may be holding onto while breathing out of your mouth.
Relax the Body
Repeat this deep breathing for a few moments until you feel yourself begin to relax.
Now, bring your attention to your body. Notice any areas of tension or discomfort, and with each exhale, allow those areas to soften and release. Feel the weight of your body sinking into the surface beneath you, supported and held.
Golden Light
As you continue to breathe deeply, imagine a warm, golden light surrounding you. This light is filled with love, compassion, and tranquility. With each inhale, feel this light entering your body, filling you with a sense of peace and contentment. And with each exhale, feel any stress or worry melting away, leaving you feeling lighter and more at ease.
Don't Block Your Thoughts
Now, bring your awareness to your thoughts. Notice any thoughts or emotions that arise, but instead of getting caught up in them, simply observe them with curiosity and without judgment. Imagine them as passing clouds in the sky, drifting by effortlessly.
Visualize
As you continue to breathe and relax, imagine yourself in a place of natural beauty and serenity. It could be a lush forest, a peaceful beach, or a quiet mountaintop. Visualize the sights, sounds, and sensations of this place, allowing yourself to fully immerse in its tranquility.
Take a few moments to simply be in this space, soaking in the peace and stillness that surrounds you. Allow yourself to let go of any worries or concerns, knowing that in this moment, all is well.
Coming Back to Awareness
When you're ready, slowly begin to bring your awareness back to your physical body. Wiggle your fingers and toes, gently stretch your limbs, and take a few more deep breaths.
And when you feel ready, slowly open your eyes, taking in your surroundings with a sense of renewed clarity and calm.
Repeat When Needed
Remember that you can return to this state of inner peace and tranquility whenever you need by simply taking a few moments to breathe, relax, and reconnect with yourself.
